About

My name is Alessandra Spedding, I am a University of New South Wales graduate with a Bachelor of Media Arts (Honours). I majored in digital media and animation, I completed courses in production, editing, animation (2D, 3D, motion capture and CGI) and photography. I am a creative, who is passionate about the screen and the moving image.

I have gained valuable insight, skills and knowledge from internships that I undertook as an undergraduate student. My employment with Essential Media Entertainment, as an Intern / transcriber, has provided me with experience in both pre and post-production as a Runner and Transcriber for the TV documentary series, The Pacific, In The Wake Of Captain Cook with Sam Neill. I was also working as a  photographer’s Assistant (Intern) for The Photo Studio Australia, where I gained experience working with studio lighting, with props / sets and also DSLR cameras.

It is from my degree and internships that I have improved and developed my skills in areas of video production, animation and photography. Having proficiency in multiple software platforms which include, Adobe Creative Suite, Maya, Vicon System (blade), Inqscribe as well as Proficiencies in studio lighting, using DSLR cameras and Analogue cameras.

I am a very passionate and dedicated creative, who is reliable and thorough in my work. I have a strong drive when it comes to my work ethic, especially in meeting the expectations of others and working to deadlines. I am someone who strives herself on being helpful and who works well in a team environment. 

I have a passion for film that has grown from when I was young to now as a graduate in Media Arts.
